Who we are

TutorFit (“we”, “us”) is a home-tutor referral service based in Hyderabad, Telangana. We connect families with independent home tutors, and schools and institutes with teachers. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and how we use it.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to do the job you asked us to do.

Parents: your name, mobile number, email, locality and (optionally) address; your child’s name, class, board, school and subjects; preferences such as timings, tutor gender, teaching language and budget; and anything you tell us about your child’s needs.
Tutors: your name, contact details, gender, date of birth, locality, qualifications, experience, subjects, availability, expected fee, a short bio, your résumé, your ID proof (masked Aadhaar or PAN) and, if you choose, a photo.
Schools and institutes: the institution’s name and locality, the contact person’s name, designation and contact details, and your teaching requirement.
Payments: we don’t take payments from parents, so we don’t collect any card or bank details. If we ever introduce a paid service, we will update this policy before any payment is taken.
Technical data: your IP address and basic request logs, used to keep the site secure and to stop spam. If analytics is switched on, anonymous usage statistics are collected through Google Analytics or Meta Pixel.

How we use it

To contact you about your booking, registration or enquiry.
To match students with suitable tutors, and teachers with schools.
To verify tutors’ identity and qualifications before suggesting them to families.
To send booking confirmations and updates by email.
To keep records required by law.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.

Shortlisted tutors see only what they need to decide if they can help: your child’s class, board, subjects, locality and preferred timings. Your phone number and address are shared only once you agree to a demo class.
Families see a tutor’s name, qualifications, experience and subjects. Tutors’ ID documents are never shared with families.
Service providers who help us run the site: our web host and our email provider. They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
Authorities, if the law requires it.

How we protect it

The site uses HTTPS. Tutor documents are stored in a private area that cannot be opened by a web link, and only our logged-in admin can view them. Access to the admin panel is password-protected and limited to our team.

How long we keep it

Parent and school enquiries: up to 3 years after our last contact, so we can help again if you come back.
Tutor profiles: while you remain registered with us. ID documents of tutors we don’t take forward are deleted.

Your rights and consent

In line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

ask what personal data we hold about you;
ask us to correct or update it;
withdraw your consent and ask us to delete your data (we may keep records the law requires us to keep);
raise a complaint about how we have handled your data.

Children’s data

Bookings are made by parents or guardians. We collect a child’s details only from their parent or guardian, and only to find a suitable tutor.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep forms secure and remember your progress while you fill them in. If analytics is switched on, Google Analytics or Meta Pixel may set their own cookies.
